What we store
Crowbones Tarot does not require an account. Everything that persists between sessions lives in your device’s local storage:
- An anonymous per-install identifier used to keep your daily pull consistent through the day.
- Your local reading history (up to 50 readings).
- Your coin balance and the date you last received the once-a-day coin bonus (so it isn’t granted twice in a day).
- Whether you have dismissed the first-launch disclaimer.
None of this is uploaded to our servers. You can erase all of it at any time from Settings.
What we send to the AI provider
When you ask for a reading, your question text (if you typed one) and the cards you drew are sent to Google’s Gemini API to generate the interpretation. We do not attach your install identifier, your IP address, or any other identifier when making that call. Google may retain the request per its own privacy terms.
Do not send personal medical, financial, legal, or crisis information as your question. The system is designed to decline those topics, but please do not test it with real details.
Reports of harmful content
If you use the “report this reading” button, we log the reading text and your reason so we can fix the prompt or the refusal logic. Reports are not associated with your install identifier.
Rewarded videos
Crowbones uses optional rewarded videos to let you earn coins. When you choose to watch one, Google AdMob handles the ad request and may collect and share your device’s advertising identifier (Advertising ID / AD_ID) along with device and ad-delivery data, in order to serve and measure ads under Google’s advertising policies. Where local law requires it, you’ll be asked for your ad-consent choices before any ad loads. Crowbones does not create user accounts, does not sell personal information, and does not use rewarded videos to build a user profile. You can reset or limit your Advertising ID at any time in your device settings.
Cookies / tracking
No cookies. No analytics SDK. No third-party tracking SDKs beyond the optional rewarded-video ad flow described above.
